The UnknownWorld is reeling from change. Bethany Anne has started to make a difference in the first week of being 'awake'. Now, America has been losing good men since their teams don't have a Vampire to help them and Frank is hoping Bethany Anne can, and will, help. Further, the American Pack Council is having internal problems with their own "young and dumb" Were's who want to ignore Michael's strictures. With no one seeing Michael, the fear of the 'Boogeyman' is starting to recede. That's ok with Bethany Anne, it means she will personally deliver the message there is a new vampire in town. Immediately following the story of Bethany Anne from 'Death Becomes Her', Queen Bitch rides a rollercoaster of action and a heavy dose of creative cussing. Bethany Anne starts to get a team in place to help her affect change. Because, whether the UnknownWorld wants it or not, change is coming. *Ver 1.10 - modified 11/28/2015 with copyedit corrections. **NOTE: Version 1.20 (Edited by James Coyle) out now! By Roiet The problem with Mary Sue books like this is that they are so enthusiastically written that it takes a while for conscious thought to seep through the cracks until one realizes that the book isn't very good. I made it through the first two, and I'm done. The author plans at least thirteen books in this series, and I won't be there for the ride. The tragedy of this series is that it had potential - a moderately interesting storyline, decent action, but was squandered through some underwhelming writing, poor editing, and completely flat characters. So - in the first book, Bethany Anne (I'm surprised he didn't just name her "Mary Sue," that's about as close as you can get without doing so) is an attractive, highly skilled, intensely honorable daughter of a high-ranking military officer and the obligatory dead mother. She also suffers from an incurable PLOT DEVICE that will kill her in six months, because there is no gray in this series AT ALL and of course, the vampire who turns her will only choose people who are near death because honor. This he holds to, even though he has absolutely no compunctions about killing anyone else, including people who give him lip. Bethany Sue accepts the offer to become the vampire - OF COURSE, because the series would end much more quickly, and is transformed into a super vampire - becoming taller, hotter, and ridiculously invulnerable. How ridiculously invulnerable? Someone blows a large hole through her torso and she is mildly inconvenienced. In the second book, her foul mouth, astounding hotness, and unmatchable prowess at combat endears herself to the military bros who become her team (and all of them are totally "Special Forces Stu,") and begins to put herself in charge of all the vampires and werewolves. That's where we stop . . . and that's where I get off.Sometimes I feel bad, giving less than stellar reviews to books like this. There really is so much enthusiasm that it is almost contagious. But when I step back, try to identify nuances in the book (there are none), three-dimensional characters (also none), genuine conflict (none), flaws that might make the main character interesting (none) and anything that might make this book of more than passing value (also none), and I realize that someone's got to point out that not only does the emperor have no clothes, but the cut is very unflattering.Takeaway: If you are looking for a vampire-werewolf-special force novel, try the Monster Hunter series. If you are looking for a better-written Mary Sue novel, read the Ell Donsaii things that Dahmers churns out. And if you are the writer, you have some potential and could do much better.

I'm already on book three and I started reading them today. The negatives: sometimes knowing which character is talking; happens a lot in the first book but evens out in the second, still happens but not as much. Sometimes inserts the wrong character name while they are talking or thinking. I do like that this is from an multiple characters point of view, but it can be difficult occasionally to follow because the transition is not always seamless. The grammar is ok but not perfect but did not take away from the story. The PROS: love the story line, love that is a continuation with lots of laughs and action. I'm looking forward to see where the author is going with this. I'm stopping now to read the third book, but because I'm digging this author I wanted to send a shout out!Update: I have read books 3 & 4 and a lot of the issues I had with the first two books have been addressed. 3 & 4 is so much smoother to follow. I am seriously enjoying this story. I about to start on book 5 and hope to finish before bed tonight, so this does not follow me to work tomorrow lol!

Smart authors often predict the future with uncanny accuracy. (Michael is using science fiction to mimic what is happening in the world. Rather brilliant.)Now Here's The IMPORTANT THING about this book series by Michael Anderle. VERY ENJOYABLE. The Characters Interact and Talk in a way I've not seen very often. Except in novels by award winning writers.Michael is a Great Story teller. Lousy speller. (Spell check is NOT your friend.) Fantastic Story and Character builder. (The spelling can be fixed. Only 1 in a million can Write like this.)Michael makes you want to read more. And he writes fast. Plus you Root for the main Character.Who has been given a STAR WARS Size problem to deal with.Good books make you forget where you are.Skip meals.YOU KNOW What I mean.Michael - KEEP UP the good work. There aren't enough writers who can THINK up plots and ideasthat Surprise the reader. Very much Appreciated! Glenn
