KD Carrillo continues to show great talent in her writing By Karen Destroy You is released TODAY this the 3rd book of the series.This one is the story of Toni and Trent and it has as much suspense twists and turns and romance as KD Carrillo's other two books in this series Self Destruct and Destroy Me.KD Carrillo continues to show great talent in her writing. The story picks up where the last book left off the story had smooth flow and it kept my interest fully intact. I did NOT want to stop reading!! It was a true page turner for me. Another plus about this book was the chemistry between all the characters. Aiden, Becca, Jeremy, Cameron, Katie and Reed were amazing as usual. I loved seeing how they all loved and protected each other. We learn the struggles the two of them have to find love and closure. It tells how friends become a family that helps and will do anything to protect each other. second book :Destroy Me focuses on Kate and Reed. We learn more about their secrets and struggles to find love and closure. Reed is a wonderful character who is strong and full of depth. The way this book was written you could feel the fear that Kate goes through. I love when a book pulls me in so much emotionally it's like I'm there with theI highly recommend all three of these books. They are available on Amazon.

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. LOVE THIS BOOK By Catarina Destroy You is the third book in the Destroy Series by KD Carrillo and it if my Favourite. This is Toni’s story and you will be blown away with the events that occur in this book.You will be sitting reading away thinking it will be a straight forward love story until you get thrown into the dramas of Toni’s life that she doesn't even remember only through nightmares.Then you have Trent he only see Toni once but he is so drawn to her that he wants to spend the rest of his life to her. He comes with dramas too.As these to try and get a relationship off the ground they are surrounded by drama and their friend who are trying to keep them safe. Mystery about Toni’s past come to a head and why she really didn't fit in with her family.You will love this book because of all the twist and turns, you will fall in love with Trent and want Toni and him to be happy. At times you will even want to strangle those who are trying their hardest to destroy Toni and Trent.I gave this book 5 stars and if I could I would gladly give it more. I can't wait to see what K D Carrillo has installed for us next. I do know it will be brilliant.

I will say that this book takes you on the ride of your life from page one!! Chas is smoking hot and Addie knows he has her from the minute she sees him!! I was sucked in and I didn’t put the book down until I was done!!I love Chiah Wilder and every book gets better and better as I read them!! An adorable little boy brings them together… By diducky *3.5 stars*Chas is a member of the Insurgents Motorcycle Club and he lives up to the patch he wears so proudly. He works hard, plays harder and he loves his family, his little boy, and the brothers who make up his second family. He had no need for anything, or anyone, more until Addie entered his life… Addie was living the quiet life she chose for herself. Content working at the library, she loved her job especially the reading club. When she met Jack’s father for the first time she knew he could shatter her hard won life…This is the third instalment to the series and Chas is the club member who sees his well-organized life turned upside down this time. His feelings for Addie have him dating – dating! – for the first time ever. Even though he had been married before this was the first time his heart was really a part of a romantic relationship. And he had some convincing to do as Addie was attracted to him but also reluctant to take a chance on upsetting her well-crafted world. Love, however, had plans for these two…A different story but with many of the same elements I have loved, and not liked, about this series. Don’t get me started on how these bikers treat women and their approach to sex and relationships. The writing style continues to be top notch and I could really get into, and feel, what was between Addie and Chas. And Jack in the middle - so sweet! Twists and surprises abounded as usual and my score card was full trying to keep track of the drama flying about but, as usual, highly entertaining!I hope there are more of these club brothers… they are starting to grow on me, smack talk and all.**Reviewed for Nerdy, Dirty & Flirty**

She gets arrested, she gets finger printer and her real name comes up. Does she run, nope, she stays to screw a biker who never calls her. She goes to biker places knowing her killer husband works with bikers. She is almost raped by a another biker from a different mc. He lives and I know without reading, he will turn her I to who husband. Please stop making females to stupid to live. We have brains but no one in this story does.He keeps letting his son get abused by his ex. Sorry can't like him either. He is not a man but weak and pathetic.

In the Footsteps of Sheep details the completion of a mission the author, a Welsh-born Scot, set for herself: to travel and camp throughout Scotland, find cast off tufts of wool from 10 Scottish sheep breeds, then spin the wool on her spinning stick while walking (or waiting for ferries), and finally design and knit one pair of socks to represent each breed...all the while writing about her adventures and taking plenty of photographs. Debbie has written beautifully about her journey; the hills, shorelines, and bogs explored; the sheep and people she met along the way; weather both foul and fair, and a particularly exciting chapter about the intriguing St Kilda archipelago and its feral Soay and Boreray sheep. The eleven sock patterns, one at the end of each chapter, are a bonus and, for those of us unable to gather and spin our own fleece, all were test-knitted with commercial wool. The designs are knitted from top to toe with different motifs, among them color-patterns, cables, spirals, stripes, Kilt Hose with top-turnovers, and a pair of baby booties.

Review The author is an intrepid Scottish woman who, after earning a medical degree and raising her children, packed her rucksack with bare necessities, and set off to camp and walk throughout Scotland. I confess that I looked at the pictures first, and they enabled me to travel with the author, from my armchair. The photos of the seascapes are lovely, the author's cozy camping locations romantic (even the cold and rainy ones), and the steep cliffs and rock outcroppings plunging into the sea are dramatic and exciting. Of course, there are sheep everywhere, and a helpful map at the beginning of each chapter which allows you to follow the author's path. When I began to read the text, I was further enthralled. Debbie's prose eloquently captures the spirit of her adventure, during which she sought tufts of fleece on fences, on the ground, and caught in the bushes. She spun the wool (as she walked) and designed ten pairs of socks celebrating ten Scottish breeds of sheep, along with one pair that includes all ten varieties of wool. Instructions for each pair of socks are at the end of each chapter, test knitted in commercial wool. Through her story, Debbie ties together knitting and adventure, giving away her socks to people who helped her along her way. Debbie's writing is both a lyrical and a riveting story of her trek, augmented by plenty of photos of the landscape shared by both people and sheep. --Meg Swansen, author of Handknitting with Meg Swansen

19 of 19 people found the following review helpful. Glorious Scotland, Glorious socks, Glourious sheep By Ginny Published in October of 2015 this is a beautiful book in concept, design and execution. The inclusion of so much information about the routes walked, the various locations, the types of sheep, and similar plus the patterns, and the gorgeous photographs makes this a very valuable book for anyone interested in knitting, socks, or Scotland! My only reservation would be that many of the wools shown, although I understand the reasons for knitting socks from each type of sheep, are not likely to be the most suitable for socks. Fortunately Mrs. Zawinski has thoughtfully included instructions for commercial wool, and she may write address this issue in the book -- I've only just received it. Socks are very utilitarian as well as lovely, and get a lot of wear and tear in addition to needing to be washed thus yarns have been developed that are used for socks, or some recommend knitting some nylon or very durable fiber in with the yarn on the heel.Now that winter is approaching, this book will make you get out your knitting needles, find some yarn and cast on!

It tells the story of one woman's mission to gather wool from every breed of sheep found on the various islands west of Scotland. She not only spun the wool fiber but knitted a pair of socks from each breed. Sadly, the main sock photos were done with an equivalent commercial yarn. The originals had a fluffier, woolly quality of unknown gauge, and this being a knitting book, the author's gauge details were rather sketchy. Beyond that, each chapter detailed her adventures camping, visiting, spinning, and knitting - which prompted me to pick up the needles, knit some socks, and dream of traveling to far off lands!

16 of 16 people found the following review helpful. Nicely-formatted, virtually complete set featuring ERB's greatest hero By Librarian ERB is a fantastic storyteller. Whether the setting of his stories is Africa, Barsoom, Venus, Pellucidar, Caspak, the Moon, or wherever, he makes them all seem real -- and exciting. This Tarzan collection from e-artnow is handsomely formatted. The active main TOC lists 25 titles; click on any one of them and an active sub-TOC will appear to identify specific chapters. Paragraphs are distinguishejd by traditional indention (my preference) rather than extra spacing. Between ERB's great content and e-artnow's excellent formatting, this is a real joy to read. I did not, however, find any of the promised illustrations.This is a virtually complete set Tarzan. I use the word "virtually" because it does lack ONE BOOK in the series, a book discovered and published after ERB's death and not yet in the U.S. public domain; that book is TARZAN AND THE MADMAN. The complete series traditionally consists of 24 books (which, by the way, were originally aimed at an adult audience, or at least not primarily a juvenile one). That count includes TARZAN AND THE MADMAN, which is still under copyright and does NOT appear here. The two juvenile, Tarzan Twin books (included in this set) are not part of the canon, so while this set DOES contain 25 books, it contains "only" 23 of the 24 "official" ones. This is neither a criticism nor a complaint, and I mention this strictly for accuracy's sake; to get so many great Tarzan books, so nicely formatted, for so low a price is a no-brainer.But don't hesitate. If you want it, purchase this collection IMMEDIATELY, because certain Tarzan books beyond the first 8 may possibly (and I wish to stress, "MAY POSSIBLY") have copyright issues in the United States. Even IF just ONE of them has such issues (perhaps TARZAN AND THE CASTAWAYS which contains 3 stories, 2 of which -- "Tarzan and the Champion" and "Tarzan and the Jungle Murders" -- are not found elsewhere), this entire set is doomed; copyright-infringement has caused other such large, also unauthorized, Tarzan sets in the recent past to be pulled by Amazon. How the $2.99 Trilogus edition -- almost equal to this in content but not quite as nicely formatted (and lacking the aforementioned 2 stories) -- has managed to fly below Amazon's radar for so long is a mystery to me; several other editions from other publishers (such as a recent one from the Timeless Wisdom Collection) have not been so lucky. I fear this one from e-artnow MAY eventually suffer that same fate -- so get it NOW, while you still can. You will be VERY glad you did (especially IF you discover it has suddenly disappeared from the Kindle Store).

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Tarzan of the Apes; One Hundred years old and still swinging through the trees By Robert M. Wallis I had read some of the novels in this series about 50 years ago but was never able to collect the entire series. This represents a re-reading of the novels from being a teenager to someone in their late Sixties. The first books in the series are now over a hundred years old, pre-WW1 as it were, and the language shows it but is still readable although a bit awkward to a modern "ear". OTOH, the built-in dictionary on the Kindle will clear up ambiguous words and meanings very quickly.These stories are not high literature and never were intended to be as such; they are adventure tales and function quite well in that regard although one would hope for a little more direct action on the characters part rather than moralizing and agonized thought. However, again keep in mind the time period these were written in. Burroughs keeps the plot and action moving along at a fast clip and doesn't end the story too quickly, although at the expense of too many coincidences in the plot movements.One of the big hits the Tarzan series has taken has been on racial stereotyping, but if care is taken in the reading, all ethnicities in the books have their share of fools and villains. Regardless, if one is a Social Justice Warrior with easily bruised feelings, these stories from the Unenlightened Times should be avoided. It should be pointed out that Burroughs makes distinctions to nobility of characters in both black and white characters in their favor, as well as illustrating venality in both.The eBook transcription has some typos and flaws from the books they were taken from. Since Burroughs has passed on many years ago, the books have gone into the public domain and are not likely to be found by any mainstream publisher any longer. The price on the series is miniscule. less than a large candy bar so complaining about line breaks and type setting issues is both pointless and ignorable.If someone wants to follow the entire story of Tarzan, an early 1970's book by Philip Jose Farmer, "Tarzan Alive", follows the entire series treating it as a real biography with a different point of view but nonetheless following the overall story arc quite well and comprehensively. Think of Farmer's book as a Schaum's Outline on Tarzan and you have the idea.The takeaway on the series is that it still holds up as an adventure story with some early 20th Century philosophizing tossed in, that has some issues with archaic phrasing to younger contemporary readers and some racial attitudes that don't read well to modern readers in the earliest books, but still is a good read and one that inspired a legion of fantasy adventure writers over the years. The casual reader will also discover that the movie Tarzan had little relationship to the Burroughs stories beyond the name; i'e.; there was no tree house or adopted Boy, much less the chimpanzee, and Tarzan was highly intelligent capable of carrying on a good conversation. The Christopher Lambert movie, "Greystoke" was the only one that did justice to the story.

A Celebration of Downton Abbey By JMM ** Quick Note to Start: this book contains content from all six seasons of the show -- be advised that details of character and plot from the final season (not yet aired in the US at the time of this review) are discussed at various points in the book. So I'd recommend reading this only after you've seen season six (unless you don't mind having it spoiled; everyone has their own sensitivity to this sort of thing). **"Downton Abbey - A Celebration" is going to be a must-own for fans of the series. The book celebrates the show through exploration of story, character, and setting. The book essentially jumps from location to location, with relevant character profiles sparsed throughout. For example, the pages about The Kitchen are accompanied by the profiles of Daisy and Mrs. Patmore; while after the pages on the Dower House you would of course find the profile of Violet. I really like how the content was assembled - it's an unconventional layout but one that is very intuitive.I should also mention that in addition to the great writing by Jessica Fellowes, the book includes hundreds of pictures. In fact, you can consider this book a visual companion to the series.At the very end of the book is an episode guide that briefly recaps every episode of the show. This is a welcome addition for someone looking to get a quick reminder of past events or wanting to identify a particular episode. Again, this includes all six seasons, so be careful reading until you've completed the series.One thing to note: If you are more interested in a making-of book that goes behind the scenes of the TV production process, your best bet is this one: Behind the Scenes at Downton Abbey

A fine conclusion By Girl Friday Reader I now own all of the Downton Abbey companion books, and sadly, this culminating text is the weakest of the bunch. I figured it would be difficult to top last year's yummy book, but this pales considerably when stacked against the others. It isn't repetitive, but it lacks spark--possibly because it gives a broad overview of Downton Abbey, as opposed to the intimate looks we've gotten in the past. There are plenty of beautiful photos of the cast and crew, the sets, and the exteriors, but I wanted more of the tiny details that make up Downton. But the book is beautifully made--and larger than the others--and is a fine bookend to the series of companion books and the series itself.

Burchfield .…be forewarned that the cover note "Includes Season 6 Spoilers" is accurate. From small details in the text and some of the, as always, beautiful photography to a near complete (except for the series finale, which hasn't been shown in the UK yet) season by season and episode by episode summary of the series- little details are sprinkled throughout. You don't get much, it won't spoil things for most fans or other readers. The book is bigger than the others in the series but not excessively so.I found the text very interesting, sometimes giving little details most people wouldn't know such as behind the scenes notes and film locations (including the Buckingham Palace interiors from season 4), well worth reading. The cast/character profile bits were good too.Good book, good series, both worth owning!
