By Bill Anderson Length: Print, 348 pages; Audible, not yet available as an audiobook, but would be a bestseller.Target Audience/Genre: This is an Action-Adventure novel targeted to adult fans of James Bond or Jason Bourne.What was the Amazon Rank on the date this review was published? 1,091.Is this a book that I can read without having to read others first? Yes, this is the first in the series. Even though it is a first in the series, this is a stand alone story.Are there a lot of typos/misspellings, grammatical errors or other editing failures? No, very well written and edited.Is this a fast, easy read or is it more of a leisure read? Quick-paced book that kept me riveted.What sort of language does this writer use to amplify the points made? Adult English. Any time a novel does that to me, I consider it a worthy read, for good fiction satisfies readers, but great fiction spurs discriminating readers to research.I realize I may be a neophyte to marma adi, so that information may not be especially pertinent. Get this though – this is a very good work of fiction that should entertain many readers.I wish I could listen to an Audible version though.Comments?

A man used when deniability is a must.As a member of a group so secretive that only the very top government people even know of its existence. Each member is handpicked for their unique skill set.An international incident captured on live broadcast has Cole activated to dispatch the Director of the CIA. While an unusual target, Cole is not one to question his orders, especially when coming from his handler, one of the only men he trusts.Cole is soon the subject of worldwide hunt, set up by a secret group of power brokers, he and his family have been marked for death. A mistake that sets Cole on a worldwide killing spree to save his family and stop those that betrayed him.Packed with action, Mark Cole is a bad, bad man. The body count is high and the action fast and furious.The author doesn't try to use plot tricks to keep you guessing, the plot is straight foreword but he does a great job of leading us through Cole's journey to a conclusion that will leave you with your jaw hanging and a burning thirst for revenge.Mark Cole has huge potential and while the author uses martial art as one of his main skill sets with some technics that stretch even my acceptance of believably there is no denying that Cole could be one the next great action character for those of us that love action/thrillers.There are some grammatical errors that the author should fix but isn't too distracting but does show the lack of quality editing. Still a solid read.

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Writing Talent Wasted By Dom A woman takes a four mile free swim towing 25 pounds of limpet mines and is described as not even out of breath. The author uses spell check instead of proof reading, with predictable results (e.g., "mercilessly" where the word should be "mercifully"). Superhuman feats are coupled with unbelievable luck. It's too bad, because there is an interesting story here, and the author clearly has some talent. But I ran out of patience about half way through after the umpteenth impossible (or at least ridiculously improbable) escape and had to give up. It appears this author has sold quite a few books, so it's obvious a lot of readers have more tolerance for this sort of thing than I. If you can suspend disbelief to a sufficient degree, you may find this entertaining. But if you insist on applying reasonable critical sensibilities while reading, I suggest you find something else. I hate to write such a critical review, but it seems to me there is a real talent here that is being squandered through carelessness.

Je Tuan Jones has captured the essence of 90's R & B Music and love stories with this novella. Kiley and Darius have a love that has peaks and valleys just like most 90's love songs. Je Tuan's writing captures the essence of the 90's song We Can't Be Friends. It was very relatable and left me wanting more with each chapter. I was in my late teens/early 20's during the 90's and this novella expresses how love was complicated, intense and fun all wrapped into one and the music was the greatest soundtrack to it all. I cannot wait to hear more from Je Tuan and am impatiently waiting for the other "behind the music" stories to come out of this R & B Love Series.

The character descriptions were awesome! I could truly see and feel every character... like I could see these people in my head as the story progressed. This is a great book to cuddle next to the fireplace with a nice red wine and get lost in the complexities we call life. This book is real.

This story truly captures those late 90's R&B feelings, and touches on a topic that many of us battle today. No vulgarity, or profanity, so no need to hide your tablets when reading in public places, lol. The story was clear, no ends left open, and I hope there's a sequel to follow!

Heartwarming By Pamela R Mitchell I really enjoy reading anthologies because I get introduced to new authors I would have never discovered by buying a boxed set that includes one of my favorite authors. FIRST COMES LOVE includes OPENING HEARTS by Iona Findley. I loved every minute of this heartwarming romance between independent and strong Jessalyn O'Donnell and sexy smokejumper Sam Ricci. Highly recommended for all who enjoy a captivating read.

Thinking that a broken heel,spilled coffee,and running late was the worst thing that could happen, boy was she wrong. SAM.hot,hunk, body to die for, a woman for each weak,smokejumper,27 and did i say sexy? Sam a seasonal firefighter, enjoys his job looking forward to doing it for the rest of his life. Sam comes back home after spending 4 months as a smokejumper, to help his brother in his business. Sam had no plan of settling down in fatherhood, just dreaming about the woman he met, had 3 awesome night of sex and would probably never see her again.This story was well written, from beginning to the end. It flows well for a short read. The characters and supporting character lines were well supported, leaving no doubt who was who, nor what their thoughts were. Liked that all that was done so that you didn't get bored with reading. Very enjoyable reading, the story was done in a way that you could picture this really being someone's life story.The intimate scenes have a few crude descriptions of the male (what you would call a rooster) but other than that the book was tactfully done which made it very enjoyable for me.Powerful storyline as Sam does his rescue with is friend Jake. Pensive moments and suspense as well when Jessalyn falls... I don't want to give those scenes away, but when you read this you will know what i mean.

This review is for Opening Hearts only.WOW! I was really impressed with this book. I liked the premise of the story as laid out in the synopsis...it was different and drew me to want to read it. The book moved right along without a lot of the misunderstandings and constant angst of a lot of romance novels for which I was very grateful. There was some tension between the characters but nothing that was earth shattering. It was probably closer to real life than a lot that I've read lately. A very enjoyable read.I liked our two leads, Sam and Jessalyn. Both characters reflect a tremendous amount of growth throughout the book...Sam probably more than Jess. It was interesting watching him move through the different stages of his growth. What I found so compelling about Jess is her strength of character and sheer will--she has buckets of it. Without giving anything away, let me just say that the last six chapters, or so, of the book pack a tremendous punch with plot twists that I didn't see coming. You will be sitting on the edge of your seat wondering how it's going to turn out.This is the first of this author's works that I have read but I will definitely be exploring more of her titles. This is definitely a great read and one that you'll probably read more than once. Kudos to the author!

She uses her chapter titles in a very creative way.A Christmas Conundrum by Karen Hall.I normally do not read books in this setting. I found it written well and enjoyable to read. I enjoyed the dialect and the fun way it was written.

Characters were the usual cliches in the usual situations. While this predictability is part of the romance genre, it was carried too far here. I generally like short stories better than the long form, but I ended up skimming, skipping and not finishing. Just a meh collection.

Be careful when you bake the chocolate chip cookies, there is a misprint. Ours came out VERY salty and after watching Ro's video, we realized the book calls for salted butter and 2 teaspoons baking soda (it should be 1 teaspoon according to the video and the butter was not specified so maybe try unsalted butter).

This book is AMAZING!!! Rosanna Pansino you have knocked this out of the park! My daughter is also a visual learning and this book has so many great step by step photographs! Every Recipe has 6 photographs. There are templates, a list of all the tools you need, and it's easy to read. You will NOT be disappointed, as my daughter said she could look at this book for hours and we can't wait to try out the lava cake for her 12th birthday! We are looking forward to having her book signed at the event hear in Orlando next week. Thank you for encouraging my daughter to keep baking! One happy Mommy here!

She got me hooked, and most of the time, I put off studying for my college lectures to watch Ro bake! This will be her Christmas present, and cannot wait! There are some really sweet recipes in this cookbook and anyone of any skill level can bake them! This is a fantastic and well done cookbook Ro! You have outdone yourself! With every word she sets to paper, she successfully injects sensitivity and humanity to the story at hand. Thus, her knack for tackling difficult subjects should be applauded. In this regard, “Butterfly Wings” is no exception. Yet overall, I found the story to be good but somewhat disappointing.Corin Thompson is the owner of Razzle Dazzle pottery shop. She is also a hypochondriac that suffers from extreme anxiety and panic attacks. Having never properly grieved the death of her parents, her anguish manifests itself in the form of non-existent ailments. Convinced that she suffers from a deadly heart condition, Corin decides to join a support group called Mended Hearts.Enter Becket Kingsley. At only 28 years old, Beckett suffered a near-fatal heart attack as a result of a previously undetected, genetic heart condition. The once vibrantly active Beckett LITERALLY had his world turned upside down. But with a positive attitude and the help of his friends at Mended Hearts, Beckett is learning to enjoy life and to appreciate each moment as it comes.When Corin arrives at Mended Hearts, both she and Beckett are surprised to discover that they have actually met before. During one of Corin’s panic attacks weeks earlier, Beckett was the stranger on the street that assisted her during the attack. For Corin, it was an embarrassing incident she’d rather forget. But over the ensuing weeks, Beckett hadn’t been able to put thoughts of Corin out of his mind. So for him, Corin’s unexpected arrival at Mended Hearts was an opportunity he couldn’t pass up.Initial interactions between Corin and Beckett are awkward at best. But I had a very hard time getting into the story and an even harder time connecting with Corin. While on a personal level, I was able to relate to the character’s anxiety issues and panic attacks, I found Corin’s constant rude and anti-social behavior to be off putting. Add to that her persistent negativity and refusal to accept help, and I found little to no reason for Beckett to want to stick around. While some might say Corin’s personality is quirky, I just found it to be annoying.On the flip side, however, I ABSOLUTELY, 100%, FELL IN LOVE WITH BECKETT!! Despite having had his entire world turned upside down, Beckett was determined to live for the moment and to take joy in the fact that he was still very much alive. I marveled at his upbeat personality, chuckled at his humor, and swooned at his romantic words. But I DIDN’T feel the connection between him and Corin—in OR out of the bedroom. And that, especially, was a big issue for me.As a reader, I accepted Corin into Beckett’s life, because she seemed to make him happy. Why, I’m not quite sure. Corin seemed a bit too self-absorbed for my liking. Aside from encouraging Beckett to pursue his photography, their relationship often appeared one-sided. Even when Beckett should have been angry with Corin—when he should have felt deceived; lied to—he chose to forgive rather than confront. While admiral, in theory, real life doesn’t quite work like that. Whatever happened to accountability for one’s actions? Yes, I can understand the REASONS behind Corin’s actions, but it certainly doesn’t EXCUSE them. And while Corin did finally came around by the end, for me, it was a case of “too little too late.”Even more confusing to me than Corin and Beckett’s relationship is Corin’s relationship with her friend/business partner Adam. I found the whole side story to be odd, incomplete and generally unnecessary.While it truly pains me not to be able to give “Butterfly Dreams” a glowing endorsement, I feel I must be totally honest in my assessment. Perhaps real life experience has jaded me to the frailties in Corin’s personality and other readers will be able to look upon Corin’s character with more compassionate eyes. I sincerely hope this is the case. But whether you fall in love with “Butterfly Dreams” or not, there is one important message that I hope we can all take away from Corin and Beckett’s story—a message we should ALL take to heart… regardless of what life throws at you, take joy in simply being alive.

Meredith Walters, I felt my heart stopped. My breathing hitched...I never felt so much relief. OMG.The butterflies followed me in my dreams.This was such a beautiful, beautiful, beautiful read.I just can't recommend it enough.What happens when a girl who thinks she’s dying meets a man who is just learning how to live?Are your hearts ready? Because this is not your ordinary sappy romance novel. Oh no, fellow readers, this one is far more complex than that. Yes, it has those cheesy moments that can melt hearts, it has some sprinkle of steam into it, but more than that, the overall effect of the book on me was like an eye-opener, an inspiration to those who are losing hope, and to those who can’t let go of their past. Now that she's an adult she's still struggling with the consequences of that terrible loss. She's afraid of death and thinks something bad will happen to her. When she meets Beckett, a man who has a heart disease, who is trying to be positive and keep on living his life to the fullest, something changes. Both Beckett and Corin have to deal with their mortality in a completely different way and they find comfort with each other. They don't know what the future will have in store for them, but they're trying to make the most of the present...Butterfly Dreams is a beautiful story about a difficult topic, mortality. A. Meredith Walters has described this in such a tender and compassionate way, I loved that. Corin and Beckett's direct communication and jokes are the perfect counterpart which makes the story balanced and complete. Corin's issues are mainly psychological and Beckett's are physical. They support one another and complement each other. They are both admirable people. I liked them immediately and was touched by their story.I read this book with a smile on my face, but also with tears in my eyes. Butterfly Dreams is a story that makes the reader feel and think a lot. I like how important questions about life and living are being raised and how both of the main characters are trying to find their own answers to them. Corin and Beckett are beautiful people. This book can certainly be judged by its cover, it's as amazing on the inside as it is on the outside. Butterfly Dreams is moving, hopeful, realistic and very, very special.

None of that bothers me. I've read worse.This is the second book in the series but can very easily be read as a stand alone.I just don't know, it kind of felt bitty, rushed, illogical.His excuse for treating Jill like crap, why he didn't talk it through with his best friend, why he ran away after he got clean. All a bit too feeble.I'm not sure I've ever come across a baby who at just 1 year old could talk. Walk...yes..talk...not so much. I kept forgetting she was so young and had to stop and back track to make sure I wasn't missing something. Also, for a 16 year old to love Nico, despite his misdeeds, I get that but to carry on like that for 16 years and not have the guts to step as far away as possible?! Even before she fell pregnant?! Makes for a weak heroin in my opinion and I just didn't care for her.I didn't like any of the characters very much, their reactions to the situations they found themselves didnt come across as emotional enough for me.I liked the fact it was a bit different to the norm and tackled some real life issues, all be it a little hard to get my head round.Generally though, with a bit of finesse I think it would be a great read for those of us who don't mind this kind of ill moraled story of hard fought love.

This was definitely not my type of book, but that is just me, my opinion.. which has nothing to do with if the book is 'good' or not. I did finish it, but I just could not get into it as well as I would have liked.. It is well-written, has a flow that makes the story understandable. I just could not understand why the characters made the choices they did and the consequences, or lack of.. This book will not keep me from pursuing other work(s) from Ms. Grace.

Now as for the actual story....I LOVED this book!! Honestly to goodness I found this to be leaps and bounds amazing. Is there cheating?? Yes, in the beginning. Is there Addiction?? Yes. The main character, Nico, suffers from addiction so if you are looking for a froo froo sweet and perfect fairytale then this book is not for you. I can't believe all the bad reviews that I read about cheating and addiction and how that made the book a "DNF" but in my mind all those things make this book fantastic. Nico has a lot of problems that he has to work through. It isn't a boy meets girl, they fall in love, and live happily ever after. That doesn't happen in real life and while I do like those sweet and romantic books sometimes, I also appreciate an author who writes outside the box and produces a story that is not a run of the mill book. I really loved Gabe and I mean I loved Gabe and couldn't wait to read Nico. For me personally, I think this book was even better. I love the characters. I really love that Nico realized he had a problem and did everything he could to get better for him, Jill, and their baby. Nico is written to be a really strong man and that definitely came through in my eyes. I fell so hard for him and was rooting for him and Jill. Jill is the perfect counterpart to Nico. She is the type of woman that I think anyone would like to be. Nico and Jill's story will be another one that I will have to get in paperback and read many more times. Very simply put...I LOVED THIS BOOK!!! If I could rate it more than 5 stars I would. Great job Ms. Grace!!! A copy was gifted in exchange for an honest review.Review by Tabitha
