Ryan, having just gotten out of a long term relationship was out with his buddy when he meets Drea, after his friend hounds him about gettin back out there and having some mindless fun, he chats up Drea, not really feelin it but thinking she's nice he offers her a ride home when her friend disappears with his friend...I didn't really like the fact that his friend was in a committed relationship with a live in girlfriend and cheated, but... they were secondaries and thats as far as we heard from them really...After a couple times of hanging out Ryan finds out Zach is gay... I liked Ryan's reaction to finding out... wasn't a big deal, just a hmm, never would have guessed it... I was sad that Zach's reaction was to get defensive though, I hate that people still have to feel threatened for exposing something like that. Like anyone else has a right to be upset or offended by it.... But I thought Ryan handled it well.I also felt for Zach after he and Ryan hook up, we didn't really see his POV from the next day like we did Ryan, but I can imagine it was discouraging, liking someone then having them freak out over what they'd done together. Luckily though, Ryan comes back and things work out. I thought it was sweet how patient and understanding Zach is and I liked how it ended up. Looking forward to reading more about these two!*~Book 2*~Zach and Ryan are 7 months in :) I love reading about these two, and oh how the tables have turned, Ryan is much more secure in their relationship and the fact that he's not attracted to men... well, maybe not "men" but Zach anyway....He's bolder and seems to be much happier this book. I really felt for him when he told his mom he was in a relationship with a man, and by her reaction. You only get one time to "come out" like that, and how she reacted will be the one thing Ryan remembers I'm sure. I have two sons, they're only 10-12 now, but if there ever comes a day when they tell me their gay, I'll hug them and tell them I love them and as long as their happy, then I'm happy for them. I can't imagine how scary it is to come out and have the people you care about most, and who are supposed to care about you react in a negative way. That really sucks, and although her reaction could have been a lot worse, I still felt for him because of it.Ryan is also self-conscious about Zach working with his ex. I really feel for him there too, because I know I go straight psycho when my husband even mentions an ex LOL so I can't blame him for getting worked up about it... But I liked how he handled it. Not accusatory or untrusting of Zach.... Now... here's where it got tricky... I'm not sure I care for Steve and I know the next book is about him... He's good at pushing boundries and not really caring about people's personal space. I'm not sure how I feel about how he manipulated the situation between Zach and Ryan and my heart absolutely broke for both of them. I was furious that they let it happen to behin with, at Ryan for even wanting it and at Zach for not stopping it when he knew he wasn't comfortable with it. ... then they were both stubborn and hurt and unwilling to talk to one another.... I really hated it for them but I'm happy with the way it turned out. I'm still not sure about Steve, but I love Zach and Ryan together and feel like they belong together... Another hit! Loved it!*~Book 3*~First... can we take a second to appreciate the cover of this book.... sigh.... okay, moving on...(while looking back)Here, we have Zach's ex Steve.... lemme tell ya, I did NOT like Steve in the last book so I was hesitant to read this one... I shouldn't have been... He more than made up for it and seeing inside Steve's head and getting to know the person he is, it's impossible not to love him... Even by the end of the first chapter I was completely smitten with him. Steve, as we knew from last book, owns a waffle stand, and everyday at 10 after 6, he see's someone that catches his eye walking just a step behind the douchiest of douchbags...who we later find out is a pretty big "made man"...his family is a big deal and has been for generations so he's not someone to be messed with, but one encounter leaves Steve seeing red when he notices Joey, a.k.a. "Little Duck" (that is SO cute by the way) is being mistreated... Worrying about him after not seeing him one day, he shows up back at work to find Joey beat up and not having anywhere to go... He was wary of Steve at first, but it's impossible not to see how genuine he is in wanting to take care of him. Of course we know that, but I can see where Joey would be skeptical....I love how despite wanting Joey really bad, he tries to take his time with him, get him to trust him, let him do things in his own time, but Joey sees how great he is pretty quickly and the banter between these two is so cute, I loved seeing them get to know each other. Steve will do anything to make sure Joey is safe, which makes me wonder why he ever questioned wether or not he loved him because he's literally risking his life to keep Joey safe. If that isn't love I dunno what is :)Calling in favors from friends, some of them old friends he didn't think he'd see anymore, he does what he needs to do in order to keep Joey safe, it's a nerwracking angsty few days, but once Joey is free and clear to do what he wants, its no surprise he chooses Steve.. Why wouldn't he?I also love the others, Rachel and her mothering, Matty and Al (although I hope Al meets someone else who appreciates him), Spencer and Dylan, sigh... I can't wait to read about all of them! Best so far! On the Spencer!!

Such Love By Shandara I'm so glad that I bought this set because as an introduction to these amazing characters you really couldn't ask for better.Zach and Ryan, Steve and his 'Little Duck' they're all just superbly rendered characters and the stories are so engrossing that I literally had to put it down because I was heartbroken or worried that the HEA we hope for wouldn't happen but when they do you're as happy as the charcters. The stories are amazingly well written and the pop culture references made me laugh.Thoroughly enjoyable read looking forward to reading the next story about Spencer and Dylan. So click buy..

Not the most realistic MM stories, although they have a really nice base storyline. I enjoyed the first story the most because of the characters, disliked the second because of the direction it took (after so many months together, you'd think Ryan and Zach would have better communication, and more common sense). I liked the last story also as it had a more involved plot. The writing style is more tell, than show, but still a good read.
